In the Entre deux Mers, Château La Maronne is ideally situated half way between Bergerac and Bordeaux (55kms). The landscape of the area is very similar to Tuscany gentle slopes covered with vineyards, rivers, wooded hills, green pastures.

Our village is located on the route des vins (wine road loop N°2), on a tour of the Bastides and on the way of saint James
If you wish to, you will be able to meet the local wine families who will organize tastings and transmit their passion for wine.

The villages :
30 minutes away from the house is Saint-Émilion, its prestigious vineyards and the medieval town which is registered on the UNESCO world heritage.
You will also appreciate the charm of Castelmoron d'Albret,the smallest village in France. Wander along the small picturesque narrow alleys flowery in Spring and Summer lined with numerous Renaissance houses.
You will also be able to discover the grotte Célestine (a cave) situated in the heart of the village of Rauzan . With genuine caving equipment you will explore the underground river bed and the magnificent natural setting.
In addition to that there are many other villages and picturesque bastides to visit : Saint-Macaire, Monségur, Bazas, Duras…

7 minutes away from the house is Blasimon leisure park open from 1st of June to 15th of September : with a supervised beach, tennis, mountain biking, canoe and children's games to guarantee good family moments.
For those who enjoy sea swims the ocean is an hour and 20 minutes away.
